At the grand old age of 4, Chris appeared in his first ever play, 'The three little pigs', playing the lead role of.....The Big Bad Wolf! Strange how they marked Little Chris out as the villain even then!
Of course Chris was at nursery school at the time, and contemptuously indifferent to the performing arts. After all, he was having far too much fun acting the fool to confine his dubious talents to the straitjacket of a scripted performance! So for the best part of 25 years Chris continued to fool around, seeking a role that would validate his place on this Bruegel stage of the damned. But finally he could avoid fate no longer and secured a place studying and performing the works of William Shakespeare at drama school. Since then he's never looked back! Poverty and deprivation have all been part of the rich tapestry that is the world of the artiste!! Hard bitten you say? Perhaps, but Chris should know, he's endured 'the life' for 14 years now! Even so Chris is often heard saying "I'll tell you something..... I wouldn't trade my place for yours or any other person's in this life or the next, unto the ending of the world". He loves it.
